How I Finally Removed the "Qvo6 Virus" -
and How You Can Too.
- January 4, 2013 by Melinda      *View Comments*

This website exists so that you don't make the same mistakes I did!  I wasted several days battling this nasty malware - trying manual removal and
several different removal tools, none of which worked. I was beyond frustrated. Then a computer friend of mine told me to boot into "Safe Mode with Networking" and use SpyHunter to remove the Qvo6 Virus. I did and literally within minutes I was rid of it for good. Because of my experience I decided to put up this website to help others avoid the same frustration & struggles that I went through.

The Danger of Being Infected with the Qvo6 Virus...

Qvo6 Virus is more commonly known as a search or browser hijacker - but what most people don't realize is that the search redirects are only a small part of the virus.  The hijacker is almost always packaged together with additional and more malicious malware, which is why the Qvo6 Virus is so dangerous.

Alarmingly, the larger and more dangerous threat that the Qvo6 Virus poses is that hackers use it in an attempt to gain access to your personal information i.e. passwords, account numbers, credit cards, etc. because it can log your keystrokes and internet activity -
which can ultimately lead to identity theft.

Additional Qvo6 Virus Information & FAQ:

1. Why can't I remove the Qvo6 Virus myself by deleting the program and files?

The Qvo6 is an extremely complex malware infection. It places a large number of random files and registry entries on your computer. Because there are also legitimate Windows files that are random strings of numbers and letters, knowing which files to delete is near impossible (I know because I tried!) and if you delete a legitimate file that your computer needs this could lead to further problems, including causing your computer to become inoperable.

The Qvo6 Virus also has the ability to recreate itself - meaning that unless all traces are removed entirely, it will simply reinstall itself each and every time you reboot your computer.

2. Why use SpyHunter?

Out of all the different tools I tried, SpyHunter was the only one that completely removed the Qvo6 Virus from my computer. This is because, as I came to find out, SpyHunter uses advanced technologies that no other spyware removal software uses to detect and remove even the most intelligent and complex threats, such as the Qvo6 Virus.

Also, just like me the reason we got infected with the Qvo6Virus was because we didn't have adequate protection to block it. SpyHunter's real time protection is known to be one of the best available at stopping attacks and infections before they can install on your computer.

SpyHunter has also won numerous industry awards and has several press mentions, including:

3. How Do I Make Sure I Don't Get Infected with the Qvo6 Virus or any other rogue again?

There are several things you can do to help keep your computer clean of malware and rogue spyware like the Qvo6 Virus:

  • Avoid questionable websites that contain pornography or gambling
  • Avoid the use of torrent software and torrent websites i.e. Kazaa or Limewire
  • Never open email attachments from anybody you don't know

All of this being said, if you make sure you have antispyware software running on your computer that uses aggressive real-time protection methods to detect and block threats before they can infect your computer (i.e. SpyHunter) then the chance of you getting infected again, regardless of your activities, decreases exponentially.
